IMPORTANT NOTE: @MontgomeryCoMD @COcanalNPS Swimming is prohibited in the Potomac River and in fact It's illegal to swim in the Potomac if entering from the C&O Canal National Historical Park in Montgomery County under CFR 7.96 (e).

Detectives Investigate Drowning in Potomac River
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division are investigating a drowning in the Potomac River that occurred on May 31.
