Guests exit Colvin Run Mill after a tour
On an early fall evening, Saturday, Sept. 17, Celebrate Great Falls Foundation held its festive gathering, Mingle at the Mill, in the ambiance of the historic Colvin Run Mill. The operational water-powered mill, circa 1811, provided a beautiful setting where guests relaxed with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails that featured ingredients produced and sold at the mill.
Over 100 people attended the event, highlighted by special mill tours, a distillery demonstration, and the opportunity to connect with friends. A local band, The Fairlington Raccoons, led by Shelley Burns, played Americana tunes that filled the grounds of Colvin Run Mill with nostalgic music.
The event also featured a silent auction with donations from Brightview Great Falls Assisted Living, Celebrate Great Falls Foundation, Classic Wines, Costa Dentistry, Friends of Great Falls Library, Great Falls Farmers Market, John Nugent & Sons, L'Auberge Chez François, The Old Brogue, Irish Pub, and Stone Tower Winery.
