The Great Falls entrance to the C&O National Historical Park at Falls Road and MacArthur Boulevard kept cars from driving down to the parking area, but didn’t keep visitors from congregating.

Potomac River levels on Saturday, May 2 reached the flood stage. Geese approach the water line, which crept into the campgrounds at Swains Lock.

The Navy and Air Force honored health care workers with a flyover on Saturday, May 2, one of the most beautiful days of the year so far. But people looking to enjoy some sunshine, fresh air and the Potomac River might have ensured that health care workers will have continued work after hundreds resisted the stay-at-home order to flock to Potomac River.
